To Blog or Not to Blog...

In the beginning of this semester, I was unsure how I felt about blogs. I hadn't really had much experience with them prior, aside from reading a few here and there. Now, though, I think I might just have to keep this blog running or start a new one.
I really like blogging, and it was a great idea to do it for AP Psychology!
It's absolutely beneficial! Here's how:
+ In this day and age, technology is becoming an ever more important part of our lives. It can absolutely be integrated into school and teaching to improve learning. Blogging helps break the ice - making students used to the idea that technology will soon be omnipresent - and lays out the skeleton for not only the rest of the years the class will be taught, but for integration of technology throughout our school (and, hopefully, everywhere else!)
+ It conserves paper.
+ In some cases, it promotes research and article-reading that wouldn't necessarily happen otherwise.
+ It stimulates and fosters learning - especially the weekly blogs in which we had to draw relations to what we were learning and our lives, personal experiences, or even other subjects. This is crucial and is, for me, the crux of using technology in school in the first place - it's NOT just to make things more convenient!
+ It fosters conversation, whether they are in-class or on blog posts themselves.
In short, I like blogging... and I feel that it should be kept in place as a part of AP Psychology for as long as possible. It would be even better if it spread into other subjects and classes, especially other AP ones!
